No, that would be Pokebank because it simply lets you transfer shit without having to play any shitty minigames or go through the fluff of trading animations.

It also has meta entertainment in that you get to drink the tears of poorfags that think spending $5 is an upmost travesty.

Between Gen II and III there was a total restructure of Pokemon data. IVs were overhauled and natures and abilities added in - I guess data couldn't be sent to Gen II and come back to Gen III as the same.
From then on in, it didn't make much sense to be able to trade backwards. Again, more abilities were added in (e.g. what would happen to a gluttony Zigzagoon?), but by Gen IV there were so many moves it would've been inconvenient to be able to trade between them.

I have played all those cross generation methods moving my gen 3 pokemon all the way up to gen 6. I have to say that the pokebank method was the fastest way I ever migrated my pokemon.

Pal park took me months.
The transfer station in white took a few days.
But pokebank only took me a few hours.

For as much pokemon I need to transfer over, you get sick of the mini games and just want your mons transfered already.

I had to transfer my shit into diamond at the time. And people didn't figure out the multiple game glitch that lets you do it more than once every 24 hours until I was two thirds through transfering my pokemon. After that I got the rest in a few days.

No, fuck you. Do you have any idea how much of a chore it is to transfer an entire nationaldex into the next generation form RSE to XY? Well fucking Pal Park didn't make it any easier, having to wait 24h every goddamn time was infuriating.

Yeah, but the only way to move my shit from Diamond to Black to bypass the limit would be to first trade over all of it to SS. For a game with the slogan "Gotta catch em all", they sure make it hard by either forcing you to catc all of them again or spend ages transferring over all the fully evolved ones and breed them in the next gen.
