Do you think the old legendary alternative forms will be retconed as Primal Forms?
Which ones? I think there are high probabilities for:

No, they're two completely different things idiot.
Primals are more akin to megas and are exclusive to Kyogre and Groudon. Formes are completely different.

Giratina has its own lore that goes well with its forme.
While we don't have any lore surrounding the Kamis nothing about any if the formes scream Primal.
And let us not forget that the BST stays the fucking same.
Primal is something new and will be exclusive to Groudon and Kyogre in ORAS, probably in the future as well.

How so? Reorder the dex, slap gender differences onto one nidoran and have them evolve into the separate lines. They won't do it though, like with OP's idea.

You recalled wrong. The only reason they're like that is because Gen 1 didn't have any genders. It does now. Look at Gallade and Froslass now, they have gender specific evolutions. Look at something like Frillish. Now imagine the Nidoran with two appearances like Frillish and two separate gender specific evolutions like Gallade and Froslass. The methods are there, they just don't fucking feel like it.

Origin forme is the form of Giratina in its home region, which works the best for the physics there.
The altered forme is the form it takes in the real world which goes by different rules.
Nothing like Primal Reversion at all.

Nothing like that happens to Giratina, it is just as strong in both formes, but has adapted to special environments.

Besides, who is the original forme is questioned. The origin forme is the most common one as it lives in the Distortion world, and gets altered later on. However Arceus banished Giratina there, so it is implied that the Distortion world is not its birth place.

The idea about Origin Giratina becoming Primal Giratina is stupid.

Except they are different. Giratina and it's origin form are more akin to Castform and it's weather forms. Both change based on their environment; although Giratina needs the Griseous orb to stimulate the change since the world is completely different, and Castform only needs weather to change. Now, the difference is Giratina is adapting to it's environment with it's form change, and Kyogre and Groudon are essentially stimulated to go back into their prime form.
tl;dr Giratina's form changes are based on environment, Kyogre and Groudon's are based on regressing to their prime

I don't think one item decides if new evolutions will be a thing.
They can just ban the eviolite from official play or make it uncontainable in later games.
I would gladly welcome a nerd to it as well, making it 25% instead of 50%. It already annoys me that. Things like Chansey, Porygon 2 and Dusclops make their evolutions redundant.
