Was the Battlespot replaced by these shitty things?

ORAS league: Only pokemon caught in ORAS allowed.

XY league: Everything allowed except ORAS exclusive pokemon.

So this means there will be no mode where everything is allowed without any of these two shitty restrictions?

I'm fairly new to this and I don't know how it was in earlier generations. But is this true? Is this common?

Sounds to me that the ORAS league includes pokemon you can catch in the postgame. I doubt it will only be the regional dex.

I know what OP means, though.
It can be read as:
>you can use only Pokémon that you can catch during regular gameplay, hatch from an Egg, obtain within the game
>or that were officially gifted from oras or xy
If you read it like this, it would mean like you can only use pokemon from oras along with only the officialy gifted pokemon from xy
I know because I also thought it was like that the first time I read it please no bully

That has nothing to do with what I said.
I'm talking about the "officially gifted" part sounding like a separate matter, thus making it sound like the only pokemon allowed from XY are the officialy gifted ones, like Celebi.

personally I think the OR/AS league is a fantastic idea

I don't see the appeal of playing cartridge if you're just gonna use hacks, you may as well stick to simulators

People are probably just going to hack the game a few days after it comes out anyway, the only difference is that now it's a lot harder to access instead of just going onto some pokegenning website.

The games arn't going to be cheat-free until Gamefreak figures out how to make an effective hackcheck.

I wouldn't even mind if you could hack pentagon mons easily, I just dislike how in X/Y battle spot you basically need an R4 + pokebank in order to keep up with the metagame, and even then it's annoying to transfer

Exactly. With Powersaves out there, there's just no reason to care about what "could have been hacked in the past" since you might as well hack it now.
And most of those shitters play emulators and showdown and that shit, so it's not like they're a real problem.

But back to reality, I'm so glad that the XY league removed all blocks for non-pentagon pokemon.. It's gonna be fun to keep playing XY for that reason alone.
