Cresselia, Rhyperior, and M-Aggron all take <40% at worst.
EVERYTHING ELSE is 2HKOed at +0 Attack.
So yeah.

I guess it's still a good asset against Greninja and, Sceptile, and random Scarfers.

Double Edge gives Salamence the coverage it needs. From now on, no more than a handful mons can switch into it with SR up and not fear to be KO'd the following turn. It hits effectively all the metagame. Really, let this guy set up and you're done for.

Trash should not be used over Outrage or Double Edge / Return.
The whole OPness of Salamence comes from the fact that it now has a Flying Stab that hits as hard as Outrage, BUT that allows him to stay flexible. A bit like a Choice Band with no restrictions. Really Trash is trash. (Pun almost not intended)
Dragon type already has god-like neutral coverage; if you just really wanna be locked into a move, you should use Outrage for coverage.

VGC is a different meta entirely. Lucario and Gengar don't do well there at all. Kanga does, but it isn't nearly as difficult to deal with.

Battlespot and VGC are different formats from standard 6v6 and different things are effective. Megakhan is definitely broken in all of them. Gengar and lucario are only a huge pain in singles.
People who play VGC are just garbage. Singles will always be better.

It gives you a ton more bulk and allows you to outrun base 150s after 1 dance, that is also a +Att nature.
