To be honest, he's kinda right about that.
If Salamence could get a mega, then why not Flygon? Salamence is the least popular Hoenn pokemon, hell, it's gotta be the most hated dragon type of all time and Flygon is pretty much the opposite, the most popular dragon of all time.

On one hand, I believe that the datamine from the demo had a LOT of stuff that was pretty much close to final or final.

On the other, there was some stuff that was left out (Couple trainer portraits, music, detailed location list that has every location in the towns, etc).

The demo was more then likely started back a few months ago (I am guessing June, July or August) to get it ready for October. Its also good to note that demos do not always have everything in the game, or even have cut content on occasion because they are using a older version.

I am not holding my breath for new megas, but I think there is more in the game then the data mine let on.
