>>21373827>diamond and pearlworst region. HMs fucking everywhere required for advancement and the plot moving at snails pace. Fucking no. At least the special/physical split was a heaven's send, but with the pokemon suffering from insulting movepols (not learning useful moves by leveling and being 90% of them shit without post game content) is a pain
>PlatinumNOW WE ARE TALKING. The developers realized that the best way to improve these games was to ramp up the difficulty to a fuckton and oh god they did, and really good. Enemy teams are improved and it just feels better. Suffers from the same as the previous, but the challenge is more than enough reason to consider it high tier
>hearthgold and soulsilverpretty much gen II improved. Feels pretty similar and this is actually a good thing, since it adds the correct improvements (such as movepols) and some nice touches like following pokemon
>Black and whiterevamp of the series that I must acclaim for drifting from the fucking typical story of the league while going actually for something decent and compelling. Movepols are fixed, sprites finally move, a healthy competitive scenario (barring the fucking politoed, which ruined fucking everything) and not relying on past pokes. Some stuff dissapointed most of fans, like the fact that you can only use gen V pokemon until the post game, but...
>black 2 and white 2fucking pinnacle of the series so far. Great characters, a direct sequel of an already great story and the chance of using past pokemon in a expanded region.
>X and Ygod damn, I must say that it feels unfinished and a bit rushed because it is difficult to actually appreicate how much effort it takes to make all the shit 3D. Pretty much the three saving graces are the 3D models (with pokemon amie), the player character customization and how easy is teambuilding. Other stuff such as mega pokemon, the story and super training is object of debate, but I personally like all of these additions.
