When [pokemon A's speed] > [pokemon B's speed,] pokemon A moves first (unless priority or whatever.) If [pokemon B] does not have the defense/sdef and HP (more numbers!) to survive [pokemon A]'s attack (which is a function of the move's power and the attack/special attack of pokemon A,) it is also KOed.
Sounds a lot like math to me. And prediction only goes so far: "oh yay I got a pokemon in on a resisted/immune move! But oh no I just get outsped and OHKOed the next turn!" Very easily can a Blaziken user get in a state where Blaziken outspeeds and OHKOs the entire rest of the team, and their opponent can do nothing but sit back and watch. This is called a win condition, and with some pokemon it's just far too easy to achieve.
>>21379628>You get something to run all over [him]And then you need something for mega mom
And then you need something mega lucario
And then you need something for the dozens of non-broken but very prominent offensive pokemon
And then you end up with a meta where there's like twenty viable pokemon because everything revolves around not losing upon team preview to these overpowered freaks.
>One or the other of those are on like 90% of peoples teamsLOL
