>>21386284The bugs are very competitive naturally and have evolved to be able to knock shit in their way off a tree if it's in their way on the climb up. Usually they're climbing to a female mate who lives up higher on the tree, so they're very determined to reach it and fuck it. On the way up they have to knock off competing bugs of similar sizes, and thus whoever is best at knocking things off the tree wins and lives on to breed and produce even stronger bugs. Of course, many females are similarly aggressive and as a result when the male gets up there sometimes the females will try to wrestle the males off the tree, so the male has to wrestle the female to fuck it as well. Or sometimes it just knocks the female off the tree too.
