Friendly reminder that Mega Swampert is about as bulky as Mandibuzz
Friendly reminder that Mega Swampert hits for ~6% less damage that LO Kabutops (the single best physical rain sweeper,) but is immune to Thunder Wave and can survive shit like LO Latios Draco Meteor
(before you mention that Kabutops gets Swords Dance: no fuck off, you have not used a Rain team, getting a safe chance to use SD is very, very rare)
Friendly reminders that Adamant Mega Swampert in rain can only be outsped by scarfers above base 95 speed.
Friendly reminder that it gets sneaky pebbles
Yeah, it's not *that* powerful, but when something is also that bulky, it becomes a question of "hooray, I'm only 3HKOed by Mega Swampert! Now what do I do because I can't do any damage to it." This is especially an issue with something so fast, that scarfers aren't doing enough damage to it because they can't carry a damage boosting item.
>>21389709>less powerful than regular Life orb or Choice BandSee, it's this sort of mentality that really needs to fucking die off. "But it's weaker than its LO base form!" Yeah but LO does damage to you every turn. "But Choice Band" yeah but choice-locked pokemon are super exploitable. CB Swampert's EQ does more damage, but what the fuck do you do when Latios comes in a get a free turn?
It's not just about how hard something hits. When a sweeper is too bulky to reliably revenge kill, it's hard to handle. When a sweeper is too fast to reliably outspeed, it's hard to handle. Most mega forms get improved bulk and speed, this absolutely fucking matters.
>>21390827But I don't see Lopunny rocking 80/150/110 bulk and ability-boosed priority.
