>>21394378Um, no it wouldn't? That makes literally no sense. You would need ORAS to get any of the new content. Idiot.
>>21394380Except that a lot of people are definitely defending it.
And no one is expecting to HAVE the new megas. You can only get them if you have ORAS. Being able to battle with them is more than fair. Plenty of fighting games get compatibility patches for DLC so that you can fight against others who have DLC characters even if you don't have them, and vice versa.
>>21394387Except that for most of them, it's not just one game that they're buying. What, you think kids want just one game a year? You don't know shit about kids, then. And anyway, outside of the US of Ass, the games are a lot more expensive. Here in New Zealand, they're NZ$80, which is around US$70 (or NZ$70, ~US$65, depending on where you buy them).
>>21394394It's close, but it's not a great example. Then again, I already said that. Anyway, the example of fighting games such as Marvel vs Capcom 3 or Street Fighter IV, is much better.
>>21394425I can agree with this.
>>21394433Except that you can't battle with the new megas, and if you know anything about competitive play (which you clearly don't), it's that your whole team is often built around one or two Pokemon, and in gen 6, that usually means a mega.
And do you REALLY think Game Freak gives a shit about people hacking stuff in and letting others get new megas for free? They don't care about that, guaranteed.
>>21394528I can agree with this, too. I'm so sick of seeing new threads about this all the damn time, but at the same time, people have a right to be legitimately upset about this. I just wish they'd stop complaining, because, well..... we get it, already.
