It's as if Nintendo doesn't want to roll in money. Do they not understand how much money they could cash in based on nostalgia? From a business point it just seems silly not to.

Nintendo is weird with the eShop in general - comparatively very few of their classic titles are on there, for reasons that defy explanation. You know something's illogical when you find yourself pirating an old game when the makers of said old game have a perfectly functional system purposefully designed to sell digital versions of old games, and yet choose not to put their old games on this system.

"Get the rights?" I know the GF/ TPC/ NCL relationship is weird, but it's not like they'd have to license shit from another company.

Also, the answer is probably GF and TPC think that cheap eshop releases would take sales away from the new retail releases.

Game Freak believes the core experience of Pokemon is trading and battling with your friends which is impossible to do on eShop games. It's the same reason why they'll never make a core pokemon title for a console.

It works with digital x and y so why not a digital red/ blue just make it read anything in the pc to convert to a pokemon on bank. might be a little tough for 8bit but with fire red/ leaf green I feel like they could do it easily

With FR/LG sure its workable, with the originals it isn't. You run in to the same issue for as to why pokemon couldn't be moved from Gen2 to Gen3.

Well not he's right. Sony has nothing to do with FF7. It's all SQ. Sure Sony could pay them off to publish it exclusively, but the same could be said about Nintendo if they really wanted too. Sony doesn't own the FF7 IP. SQ does.

And who cares if you can't do events for it? Console Pokemon games wouldn't be taking the place of handhelds, just complimenting them. A console Pokemon game would generate so much money it wouldn't even mattery.

Maybe in the west, but in japan people don't care about what others think and there's that previous boner for handhelds.
