I once ran into a German guy who had a bunch of mons that passed an ability-chain from his Mega Milf to his Slaking.

I managed to kill the Slaking somehow, but ended up losing the battle anyway. I wasn't even mad, it was a very risky strategy that really paid off.

It doesn't last on switch out to help your actual team so it's basically just a not-much-better rain restricted only for when your kyogre is on the field while its plusses like opponents being unable to weather or fire protection both don't really matter if you were kyogre already anyway

You could at least support teammates like Ferrothorn before with passive rain once you switch out if you mispredict or something

You give up regular Drizzle which was already pretty good for a concentrated drizzle with boosts that don't help you all that much and lasts about 20% as long.

Because Primal Weather is lost once Primal Mon leaves the field.

Usually in singles Drizzle is set and the Mon is taken out.

Normal is decent neutral coverage for something with Slaking's movepool, and importantly it has STAB whether or not it ever gets Protean.

The number of times I've failed at getting protean/huge power on Slaking and just ended up skill swapping truant away is significant.

Kecleon could use Trick Room and Skill Swap before anyone else, but Slaking with 100 base speed wouldn't get a lot from Trick Room

Kyogre's been the faggot bitch since the ability was even revealed to negate water.

You don't have a thing to nullify your only 4x weakness while being neutral and immune to the other half of Kyogre's moveset and be bad while doing all that.

People were already giving hypotheticals once the ability was revealed and even with switching, Groudon won out something like 80% of the time unless Kyogre was already Mega'd earlier in the game/set up and Groudon is your last Pokemon or something like that

It doesn't even win that until we know exactly how the abilities interact with eachother and if they actually do nullify one another or both happen at the same time or something. If the latter, Groudon outright hard counters Kyogre.

And Drizzle can be stopped by other weathers while Primordial Sea blocks them.

252 Atk Groudon Earthquake vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Golduck: 307-363 (101.6 - 120.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Groudon can also Roar Xerneas out if it tries to set up Geomancy, though only a dumbass would try to use Geomancy in front of Groudon.
