Day one of ORAS OU on Showdown has passed. What are your thoughts on some of the new Megas?

Solid stats and movepool with a nearly unresisted (shedinja pls) STAB combo, it'll fit in nicely in OU.

>Beedrill
Not the OHKO machine many thought it'd be. Requires some support to succeed, dies in one or two hits to pretty much any relatively strong priority move, needs to watch out for scarfers, and will need to carry Protect if it wants go Mega on offensive teams.

>Salamence
Has numerous powerful and viable sets, each with some different checks and counters (i.e. Draco Meteor variants kill Rotom-W, Fire Blast kills Skarm, Hydro Pump kills bulky Rock types). Easy to set up with Intimidate in the base form and the mega's huge physical bulk.
