Not necessarily to be better than (Mega) Garchomp, but to actually have a niche, as fast (and special attacking) ground types are few and far between

I would give it tented lens and min/max the hell out of it like they did with beedrill. Ice Shard would be its worst nightmare, but those are easy to predict.

They gave it a couple great new special moves with Bug Buzz and Boomburst, too., in addition to its completely unused existing special movepool.

Let's be honest, they could go in three directions with Flygon's very average stat spread.

1. Dump things into attacks and speed. Most likely option is they would dump special attack to 40 20 to attack and the remaining 40 to speed or what not.

2. Dump things into attacks and defenses, making it a bulky relatively quick attacker.

3. Dump things into everything spreading the increases across everything effectively making him still pretty shit.

I don't see them trying to go bulky on it. It's supposed to be a fast, brittle pokemon. I think they'll most likely either dump everything into speed and attack or speed and special attack, maybe with some points dropped into defenses because Game Freak is retarded about mega stat distributions.

Well, I'm what /vp/ would call a Flygonfag but I already pretty much accepted that he won't get a mega (at least in this game, which is sad considering it's a fucking Hoenn remake).

If it was any other company I would believe you, but considering this game is made by the same guys that created 8+k polygon models that run like crap on the 3DS just because they couldn't be bothered to remake them for the next gen system - the chances are very, very slim.

I honestly can't even care about the entire debate that much any more because of the amount of shitflinging that goes on when someone even thinks of the word "Flygon".

Why are you anons so certain Mega Flygon, or any other Mega Pokemon for that matter, will be revealed when we already discovered the hidden contents from the official demo, showing no new Megas? This is just wishful thinking on your part, and it is unhealthy.

Do you honestly think that GF would reveal ALL of the Megas a month before release? X&Y didn't do this, and IIRC there are fewer ORAS Megas, which probably means that we'll get at least 4 or 5.

Besides, there are plenty of mons that are prime candidates for a Mega that haven't got one yet. Flygon is popular. Milotic is popular, and the final Gym Leader's ace. Dragonite and Hydreigon are pseudos. Jynx, Plusle, and Minun were copyrighted. ect. ect. ect.

We already have the battles teams as well. Surely if Wallace or Aarune had a Mega it would have been discovered?
The teams that aren't finished have lv 5 Zigzagoon, but those people have finished teams.

Come on, this is GF. The fact alone that people managed to find out all of the hidden data shows they weren't prepared at all and all the trainer sets and items points to this conclusion - that no other Pokemon is getting a mega. You guys aren't getting your Mega Flygon or Milotic. Get over it.

Game Freak is the company that put in Mew after they finalized and were told to not fuck with the code of Red and Green though.
Still, I wouldn't be surprised that they just thought no one would datamine the demo considering their general incompetence at security and optimization.
