>>21434883I was about to repeat what you've probably been told already, that Platinum added things that didn't work in DP and that BW2 added things that didn't work in BW.
And you're response was probably going to be "that was years ago, patching is much more feasible now"
So here's another, more recent example. Little Big Planet allowed you to create levels and post them online and play those levels online with other people
Little Big Planet 2 added a ton more content, more types of levels to create, more objects to put in those levels. They also imported ALL the levels from LBP1 into 2, so people with 2 could play any of the old levels made in 1 while still being able to play the new ones made in LBP2.
Not patching LBP1 to add the content from 2 or the ability to play levels made in LBP2 was not jewish or greedy, it's just the way new games work. Doing so would have destroyed the incentive to get the 2nd game in the first place.
I'm sure you're going to repeat again "but its the same GENERATION." Well there is no real good comparison for that. Other game series do not do "generations" the way we've had them done in pokemon. I'm certainly mad about the NEW 3DS and how it effectively is creating a .5 generation of consoles. But that's a $200 system. This is one game.
Hell I was made about the BW/BW2 dream world shutting down so quickly as well. But that's because that was content that was promised at the start of the game. Even BEFORE BW were launched the dream world was a huge part of the advertizement.
This is totally different. There was never any suggestion that XY wouldn't lack features that would be added in future games. Pokemon is not an MMO. It does not constantly evolve within a single game. The games themselves are the patches and they are the evolution of the metagame.
