I think for some they color each texture with thought/consideration, while for others they just do something like shift the hues of all textures and call it done

I hated it in previous games but I like it in X and Y. I actually kept my Dragonite at level 70 or so with an everstone and then I had to evolve it. I just like big fat dragons more than snakes.
