It resists Normal and Electric, and is weak to 4 types, of which Ice and Fighting stand out as very bad.
Storm Drain is nice for the immunity, but doesn't make the typing good.
You're right, most people don't know its weaknesses. However, saying ignorant individuals mistaking its type doesn't make the type magically good when its resists are near useless and its weaknesses are notable.
The only thing Grass/Rock has going for it is that it's the only type to be neutral to Talonflame in monotype.
