Battle Chatelaines confirmed to reappear in ORAS.

That means that the Battle Resort is more or less the same thing as the Battle Maison.

The model names have _RS at the end of them though, which would be pointless to add if they were just leftovers from XY.

That said, the Chatelaines don't have to be related to the Resort either.

Except they appear in two different contexts - Battle Resort is found in the location data and Battle Frontier is in the music data.

It only means that the Battle Frontier battle theme has been remade for whatever reason. Nothing more than that.

Btw, on Hoenn's new map you can see a big house on the route that's on Mauville's right. It wasn't there in RSE. Might simply be the Battle Maison and it could be closed until post game.
