Unless it fire blasts you on the switch you're golden. Megagross has more physical bulk than Alomomola and it's fucking steel-type, shame it doesn't have a single usable support or recovery move.

It's troll-level bad. All of its good offensive moves are special, and even though it still isn't much, Ghost/Electric/Fairy is miles better than Ghost/Dark.

That said, I can sometimes Role Play off of a partner Medicham in a doubles battle to land massive priority damage.

Mega Swampert only hits as hard as LO base 105ish, but it's extremely bulky and fast which makes it that much harder to deal with.

CB Solrock's Stone Edge hits harder than Mega Tyranitar's, but of course Mega Tyranitar is better than Solrock in basically every aspect.

This shit reminds me of early XY when people said that "Mega X isn't an upgrade over its base form cause its base form hits harder with LO." It's like people forget that speed and bulk are also really important, as well as some abilities; fucking, people said Mega Gengar wasn't that hard to handle at first cause it doesn't hit as hard as LO Gengar.

Its not useless. It demonstrates how low its special attack is.

Swampert has a higher effective stat, good bulk, great typing, and a good movepool. Pidgeot has none of these.

Actually it's a statement that demonstrates that damage multipliers are infinitely more important than raw base attacking stats. If you remove the ability to hold an item or a damage boosting ability what constitutes a high attack drastically changes.

Think of it this way. Defensive cores and walls are builtto handle power houses like Life Orb kyurem-B and specs Keldeo. Most megas are underpowered, which is significant because defensive pokemon are built to handle things stronger than them.

No, just most of it. If yoursweeper needs 3 or more pokemon on average removed from the enemy team to sweep it isn't good.

Look at Pinsir for instance. It's only really stopped by Rotom-Wash, Skarmory, Talonflame, and Thundurus. The former two can be easily broken by Pinsir if they've been weakened below 75% in the match, the latter two are the only 2 that MUST be removed. Your'e very unlikely to encounter a team with more than 2 of them, that's why Pinsir is good.

And like half a dozen common scarfers, rock types (Mega Aero, Rhyperior,) fast/bulky electrics in general (you listed two, you forgot Mega Man and Raikou, and I guess Zapdos,) things over 105 base speed that can, at minimum, take a +2 quick attack (healthy Latias.) Not all of these can switch in, but they do stop Pinsir's sweep, a good number of these are really common and you will see teams with multiples of these (as well as multiple pokemon that Pinsir can't set up on, which makes most >105's bases able to RK.)

And Pinsir is one of the best sweepers in the meta; straight-up sweeping a good team is hard.

M-Swampert has been good but mostly cause a lot of its obvious switch ins (Skarmory, Rotom-W, I've been seeing a lot of Chesnaught too) are so easy to double switch off of, and when your switch in is Kingdra, and something has to take Specs Hydro, that's good.

Honestly I like Kingdra+Swampert than Kingdra+anything else, especially Kabu, cause Swampert can actually switch in to stuff. At any rate I hope M-Swampert makes more people use Rain (and thus Kingdra) and realize how good it (and Kingdra are.) Cause I like Kingdra.

And Greninja gets the most powerful physical Poison move in the game, which is exactly what it needed to handle all the specially defensive fairies that could previously handle it.

And it didn't get anything new from tutors either, even though it's the signature pokemon of the ORAS champion

Everything besides EQ gets a free +30% thanks to Tough Claws. It also gets all kinds of random shit that nobody uses like Rock Slide and Hammer Arm. What do you guys want this thing to have? It already has a good selection of offensive moves that allows it to deal with most of OU Mons.
>Ice Punch for Garchomp, Landorus, Gliscor, etc.
>Thunder Punch for pseudo BoltBeam coverage and Mons like Gyarados and Talonflame
>Zen Headbutt for M-Venu and Keldeo
