M-Blastoise has pretty goddamn powerful Water Spout, even when resisted. In VGC, pair it with a Trick Room Setter, Tailwind user, or Dark Void Smeargle to get the most mileage out of it.

The mega form is somewhat good in Doubles. With Water Spout it's like a mini Kyogre. I remember some VGC player even managed to rank high with a team centered around Mega Bmastoise.

I've ranked really high with a Cofagrigus/Mega Blastoise combo. I'm waiting for VGC 2015 to really put it to the test.

So yes, Megastoise is very viable in doubles. In singles, not as much.

i have won many double battles with scarfed blastoise paired with lightningrod pikachu, and it has taken me pretty high on the ranks, havent used it too much at singles

Mega Blastoise is pretty damned good in VGC14, especially when paired with some sort of redirection such as Amoongus or Pachirisu. Not one of the best Megas, but certainly viable. Wide Guard Aegislash completely walls it, though.

Blastoise has always been my favorite from the beginning but shit like 2 charizards, both being great and an excellent venusaur make the semi decent upgrade to Blastoise look like shit. I will always use him regardless

I used to run a single strategy online with Venus,ChariY, and Bast.
I mostly use Blastoise on my team as a Bulky RapidSpinner, for helping Charizard Y out, and snipe weaken pokemon with Water Jet, great for taking down Talonflame.
And throw in Toxic and Ice beam, and you're good to go.
The Toxic is great for helping out Venusaur with ToxicShock.
