On a vaguely related note
I had hoped that Mega Evolution in the anime would be as drawn out and elaborate as a Yugioh summon, complete with excessive light shows and swooping camera angles and a chant to tie it all together. Instead it's just a matter of 'poof' and you're a Mega now.

One Burn and it's sedate as a puppy. And it really isn't that fast compared to most of the new Mega candidates. And that Defense boost doesn't go a ling way either. Metagross and Swampert both OHKO the guy with Ice Punch for goodness sake.
