/tg/uy here i was thinking about building a Pokemon game can you guys help me out with ideas and lore to make a campaign im not sure even what region i want to be in pick out the most interesting placing in the Pokemon world with me please

I'd vote Johto since it's best gen but in all honesty if you're looking for fairly complex lore compared to the rest then your best bet is 4-6. Though I suppose you could do something with the Unowns. I would love to go on vacation to Hoenn or Orre, though the later is a bit bare. I would say Gen 5 has the most potential in terms of varied environments for people to go to and shit to happen in.

my gm just made his own region, with font based names
have fun with it man, its pokemon. you don't have limit yourself to any one region, you can combine them and the lore around them if you want

Depends on what you want.

Kanto is something experiencing the beginnings of industrialization.

Johto is very traditional. Subdued colors and family values.

Hoenn is tropical and incredibly varied. It has a very vacation-like feel to it.

Sinnoh is somewhat like Johto in that it is subdued. It has a rich lore and a focus on duality.

Unova is very industrialized; it's almost the polar opposite of Johto. It's bright and flashy, with some modern values sprinkled throughout.

Kalos is somewhat mystic. It has a sense of magic and eeriness about it.

Johto is just a good region and would recommend if you're not looking at anything in particular.
