I don't see what the problem is. You're supporting a developer whilst also being able to access lots of exclusive mega stones/legends and have one main save and one to replay the game whenever you want.

Have you tried trading for mega stones? It's a pain in the ass. Plus if you want a legend, you'll be shit outta luck as you can't reset for nature/ivs that suit you
