People to buy those products, watch that anime, and play their games.
Meaning people with money.
Children to convince their parents that they should buy them those products that are being produced.
Had not a single one of us, (I was ten at the time of RG's release, and 11 at RB) convinced our parents to buy this for us or our butlers to take us out to acquire said games for our beautiful clunky gray handheld console..
Pokemon would of withdrawn from the T.V series in America, and Europe. Wouldn't of sold those toys, wouldn't of made POGs, wouldn't of had McDonalds pass out promos, wouldn't of given out toys, and the list goes on.
Without us GenWONners who showed a desire for more, liking the games we had, and enjoying Gameshark's enhancement of the games themselves then there wouldn't of been a you right now lurking on a Pokemon board on 4chan.
Not to say you wouldn't like Pokemon, since you could of been one of the few who saw some article online somewhere, found whatever game had been released in Japan, bought it since it interested you...
but without us there wouldn't off been a landslide of money to be spent on them. You wouldn't be here because the board wouldn't exist without popularity, popularity that takes people. People who buy their products, people who have money to pay for their products, and people who have children that want them to pay so they can play their products.
Which in turn gives Pokemon more of a standing to exist, to franchise heavier, and create more what? Cards, Games, Anime episodes..ectect..
So yes. They DID listen to us 'kids' who played, they listened to all of us Children in unison and manchildren.
Again..
Without us GenWONners, son, you'd have nothing.
Now run along while I take my nap. That history lesson on economics and taking you down a peg tuckered me out.
