>>21509071I kinda blame GF's oddness with moves based on how competitive play came out of nowhere. EVs were originally meant to not be seen but fans found out they existed and naturally exploited them in their desire to win.
Now GF is pandering to them but I don't think they've struck a true balance between casual and competitive. If they did, why do some many people complain about how tedious EV training and IV breeding is? You may say "oh but it got easier in XY" well I think that's not good enough. This system needs to be revamped and made apart of the core training system for even an ingame playthrough. Revamp doesn't immediately mean old Pokemon are instantly unusable either.
They have way too much money, surely they can figure out a system were it's fun and not boring as hell. Hire better designers or something. I like Grumpig too btw, too bad so many people ignored it because of Gardevoir.
