Well, the song (he's a violinist, not a singer... do you still call it a song?) isn't titled "想い出のキャンパス" like the episode is, but 想い出のキャンバス - "canvases of memories", which is a neat poetic way to refer to paintings.
The episode title is definitely a pun on that, but translating it as the nonsensical "Citron's Paintings" because you mistakenly thought that's what a song titled "Paintings" was called in Japan is... something.

He wrote over sixty episodes of Diamond & Pearl, the majority of which were the important story arcs. Episode Director Asada Yuuji and Animation Supervisor Iwane Masa'aki--the best of the series' directors and animators--bent over backwards to handle the majority of those important episodes. The production staff all threw their hearts into that series now that the restraints were loosened and they could do a different sort of character (Shinji), strategies, and stronger continuity between episodes. It got to the point that Series Director Sutou Norihiko shared the role of series director with Asada Yuuji for Episodes #171-191 because Asada himself directed and storyboarded five of those episodes. The schedule was refined to the point that Iwane Masa'aki was then able to do action animation for Episode #183 (Heracros versus Korotock) and the entirety of the key animation for Episodes #187-188 and Episode #191, while also doing Dakrai dodging the meteor attack in Episode #189. A production crew doesn't bend over backwards like that if they do not believe they are truly doing something fun and great.
