Why would it be? They always give away the current world champions signature/core Pokemon at events. I still have Ray's Metagross and Arash's Mamoswine.

I hope it'll go global. It sounds like a neat event. If not, not much loss though.

I had a pachirisu in platinum that I adored and it's nice to see it have some exposure.

Sejun Park seems like a cool guy (fellow Korean go).

With Mega Sceptile out there and the expanded dex offerings I doubt people will see much of them. Pachirisu filled the niche for Sejun. It's still usable but things are getting a major shift with ORAS.

As for VGC itself it will depend on the new rules and eventual restrictions anyway. Post event tours distribution are just extra prizes and something to collect as a tribute.
