that isn't black sclera
see how the red part of the eye on the side protrudes? that's because the eye is red and the markings are black. rabbit tearducts are usually large and dark. that's how actual rabbit eyes look.

It's a common misconception and I'm not opposed to how it looks, it's just not consistent with the design. I don't have a picture of Lopunny's blinking/sleeping sprite or model, but when it closes its eye the black marking stays in place.

I'm not sure how to feel about Mega-Lopunny. I'm already using Lopunny in doubles in a supporter role. On one hand, Mega-Lopunny entering the scene will make people expect me to go mega and attack instead of dicking around with Switcheroo and Encore, giving me a surprise moment. On the other hand, they might also target Lopunny since they expect it to be an offensive threat, instead of usually ignoring it as they do now.
