I got a Charmeleon in my friend Safari. It's Quirky, Blaze, capped Special Defense and speed. Not that I really mind, if I was going for stats and ability I'd have MMed it but I'm a bit sick of hatching eggs, so I just decided to go for the cheap and easy route this time.

I think I'll WT it once I evolve it to Charizard and get its shiny dex entry for both Megas, some kid will get more fun out of using it than I'd get from keeping it as a box trophy.

I've noticed that there have been sharp disagreements like this in general over the months with how /shw/ has been functioning as an idea/thread. I'd love to have all that stuff come out in the open from the people with problems like this anon so people can talk about it here.I think it'll do this threads future a lot of good. I hate to see whats going to happen if we don't start talking about whats being perceived as wrong here.

My two cents is that when we talk about problems here we're very abrasive and personal and negative towards eachother and that really makes it hard to move the discussion in a direction that solves something.

So I invite everybody to come out of the woodwork and talk about whats bothering them with /shw/. Just get the elephant out of the room.

Also on another note just for those few who don't know and would care I share that I have decided to stop shiny hunting for now and will probably be gone for good after this post. I don't know if this will change. If I do return i'll just be back as an anon since this name was made strictly to encourage tony on his shiny ho-oh hunt when I looked for mine.

Here is a pic of what may be my last encountered shiny. I was safari zone hunting for a lucky egg in fire red and accidentally stumbled across this. It did end up running away. Still a shiny is a shiny and it was very cool to run into this in the first place and at least have a shot at capturing it.

Good luck with all your shiny hunts. More importantly /shw/ in general good luck with solving the drama. Bye guys.

Also I think you guys were too hard on tony. From the posts i've read he hasn't caused any problems and has been hunting with us for months and has delivered a lot of shiny gets. Sorry I didn't get ho-oh in the end tony.

Hatched a shiny Mienfoo while breeding for a good 5IV one a few days ago. It's 5IV missing speed, Knock off/Baton pass/Low kick/Feint egg moves and Regenerator ability, Adamant nature. Been breeding for 2 more shiny Espurr since. I got the first of three at 659 eggs months ago and Tuesday the shiny male hatched at 155 eggs. 5IV missing Attack, HA, Modest nature but no egg moves. Whelp, time for dead hours. I, of course, live in a timezone where it's barely even dinner. Might as well post where I am on the ride:

I finally got a decent-ish Hawlucha at 504 eggs (31/31/31/7/15/31). After getting the first one with a 0 in HP, I decided it was good enough.

I then decided to finally breed up a good Scizor. 5 eggs in, before I could even get a good mother bred, I got the second pic related there. I managed to get super lucky with it, however. (31/20/31/7/31/29). 3 perfect IVs, and pretty passable in the other two that matter. I'm not sure if it misses any KOs or speed tiers it really needs, but I'm still going for a better one. For now, anyway. If the next one I get is super shitty, I at least have a good backup.

Might come in handy for that Living Shiny Dex I've been stupidly dreaming of for awhile. Don't need to think about it now of course. Just keep on the bicycle for now.

Never had much luck when it comes to find shinies. But, during a random playthrough, I got 2 shinies. A Gulpin and a Nosepass. I found both of them in the same day.

The Nosepass is Modest and the Gulpin - now a Swalot - is Relaxed.

It's been going on for a year. I can't imagine a lot of people haven't just been worn down by that. It's happened to me before. Just taking a break or moving on.

Shit posting seems to have increased recently as well.

We'll see what the release of ORAS does to that. New games have, if I recall, usually tended to bring new breeding mechanics in too, though not every time. Maybe something interesting will happen with the ORAS breeding.

I used to have a lot more patience with MMing. But after a few shinies, I don't feel like MMing again. When I did, I watched a stream or movie, played something or read a book while I collected eggs. I filled a lot of boxes. This is the worse part, since it demands more attention from you.

After that, I went to lumiose and left it auto spinning. This is the best part since it demands way less atention from you, just have to tap the screen for egg to hatches and change everytime 5 of them are hatched.

I found this method to work best with me. You might not like it, though.
