But oh right! Every team on the ladder should run a mediocre Hippowdon just to make it OU for you, that can't accept Gen6 changes. Furthermore, Hippowdon's usage itself is also affected by UU and LU/RU that have a completely different tierlist and meta where Hippowdon isn't as effective as you probably think.
As for the bans, bans are the result of suspects, suspects are depending mostly on the people who bitch and post in the forums. If you don't act then you can't complain. Some of the tier leader resulted biased and didn't count some votes that were against their will, some are higly influenced by Smogon, some are basically a result of the smogonites that come to PO just to change its tiers. One of them was one of the Smogon OU leaders, but people on PO lauged at him.
The system of Smogon and PO hs some things in common, but PO isn't as elitilist as Smogon.
You can see it by just comparing their respective UU leading.
