So, /vp/ tell me about the Pokémon that is your bro/daughteru/waifu.

Not a species of pokémon, but YOUR bro. The one that you fell in love for whatever reason and now carry it around in all your games, and can't get apart from it anymore.

Mine is pic related. It was the first shiny I got. It was the second egg I have hatched in XY. I would love it even if the stats were bad, but it came incredibly good. I only have a problem: I don't know how to name since it hatched, almost 3 months ago.

Gen 1 Bro was Poliwrath. Gen 2 Bro was Heracross. Gen 3 bro (or daughteru/waifu in this case) was Mawile. Can't think of anything right now for the other games right now.

When B/W came out a few years ago, I had just come out of a Pokemon hiatus so I jumped right into Gen 5 without ever seeing any of the Pokemon besides the box legendaries and the starters.

It was a really exciting experience and I made so many bros: Zoroark, Reuniclus, Scolipede, Hydreigon. The list goes on.

But this guy. This little fucker.

I had gotten the game early enough to get the Liberty Garden event, so when I went down there and saw Victini, I fell in love with it. I didn't care that it was a legendary. I put that little shit right in my team and levelled it all the way up to 100.

Everything about it was so great. The design was so compact and simple, yet effective. It looked cute and was pretty powerful even without V-Create. Named it Ness cause they both do the peace sign!

I have more bros, of course, but what with that Victini thread out there, my love for it has surfaced again.

My first Pokemon game was Colosseum. Shame that we won't get another, though.
Anyways, I thought the game was pretty cool with its music and atmosphere. Cool environments and shit.

Back then, I didn't consider these two to be my bros. Just regular starters. But over time, I began remembering how I would vow never to put Umbreon and Espeon in the PC for whatever reason. I always counted on them during tough battles.
I've just had a long history with them. It's hard to forget.

How the fuck are the either of them reliable single player wise? Umbreon was only good for competitive play, and for Espeon you were better off with an Alakazam instead because of better stats for sweeping and actually learning Psychic at a respectable level.

Colosseum is doubles, guy.

A Shiny 6IV female Joltik my boyfriend gave me back in February. I played through X & Y again, and she was a level one hundred Galvantula by the time I reached the Elite Four. Wrecked basically all of them. I now can't have a Team without her and her Sticky Web.

He and I broke up a while ago. I still love him.

Well, when he opens his "parabolic antennae", it really looks like an Indian Ornament. My country is famous for it's aboriginals, one in special is famous as hell. I could name him this way, but the name is just too ugly.

A long time ago, I remember losing a copy of pokemon silver
I'm not completely sure it happened, but if it was a dream, it felt so real that I complained to my mom and asked them to help me find the cartridge at school
In that game, I had a shiny flaafy
Now, when I eventually got another copy (gold this time), I immediately caught a mareep to train it
Eventually it became an ampharos and one night when I was tired I turned the game off as the game was saving
I realized I did this and to my surprised, I had cloned the ampharos
Ampharos is a total bro and I should probably look up how to use ampharos better

When I was a kid, I had a really good childhood friend that played Pokemon with me. I had started with Red, and he started with Yellow, though we didn't really understand the real meaning behind what's happening in the games until R/S/E came out. My friend's favourite game is Sapphire, while I personally really like Emerald. In Year 4, which I suppose is the start of middle school for you American types me and my friend found it awful hard to fit in with the new senario, as Pokemon was just starting to lose it's edge in the ol social scene.
Me and him had a lot in common, other than the Pokemon thing. We didn't like sports a lot, as we lost our breath really easily, but we were perfectly fine at all other subjects. Turns out he had aspergers and I had no idea. I guess I was just a stupid kid. He was a funny guy though, he got a huge laugh after catching a Kecleon and telling me it looked just like me. I didn't understand at all.
When we were battling, I could never beat him. Not once. He had just gotten the understanding on how to use Substitute and Focus Punch in succession, and I had no idea how to beat it. And I never did. Hid favourite Pokemon was Poliwrath, for that reason, I guess. I always tried to beat him with my favourite, Sceptile, but I could never do it. I thought it was crazy back in the day.
One hot summer, I get a call saying that my friend is in the hospital. I'd never been to a hospital to see anyone before, so I didn't really know how to act. I joked around with him, asked if he wanted to play video games, and he would always reply with a wheezy chuckle and a wide smile. Turns out unlike me, who just didn't like sports at all for being a lazy git, he couldn't really do sports at all. On top of the aspergers thing, he had really bad asthma, as well as a really weak lung tissue. [1/2]

When he got out of the hospital, he wasn't the guy I remembered. He was a lot quieter, and didn't crack nearly as many jokes as he used to. We still played Pokemon, but it eventually devolved into trading items between each other. Eventually, we drifted apart. It's not to say that we weren't friends any more, we still were, but I never really got the chance to see him. His parents must have taken the hospital thing really hard, as they wouldn't allow him to leave the house and play outside with me at all until they were sure the pollen had cleared up.
I was a stupid kid, and I thought it was totally unfair to me, and that it was entirely my friend's fault that he was ditching me so badly. I didn't tell him though.
I was playing Pokemon with him for old times sake, and I really want to beat his dang Focus Punch tactic, so I just start throwing random Pokemon I had in my box at him to see what stuck. Eventually, it gets to Kecleon, and my friend laughs a big ol laugh, which ends in a whopping cough. It felt good to hear him so happy again, but I felt awful for making him cough so badly. He was doubled over, coughing, because I made him laugh. I wasn't sure what to do, he wouldn't stop coughing. I called my parents, they called his parents, and he was taken to the hospital again.
He never left the hospital. His family hated me, calling me a bad influence on the guy, and that if he hadn't met me, maybe he would have gone on to do something amazing. I thought were right about it too, it still haunts me today. I did, however, stumble across his old Pokemon game, years later. His team was the team I battled on that faithful day, but this time, I saw the whole thing. I only saw 4 of his Pokemon that day; I had no idea what the other two were.
Zangoose, and a Kecleon called Powalski, running SubPunch, and holding a letter, that read "friend friend haha !!!"

I still run SubPunch Kecleon, for obvious reasons.

Caught a Modest Dieno in a dusk ball in BW, feel in love with that adorable motherfucker.
Leveled him up to a Hydreigon, was pleased which how strong he was. Soloed E4 with him, and when I decided to check his IVs I found out that he is pentaperfect. I know use him is competitive with a scarf and he wrecks shit. I wouldn't be caught dead without him
