By the time we get to the point where people are going to start wondering about Unova remakes, Megas will have lost their hype/marketting value just like traditional crossgen evos, and GF will unleash a new, more powerful gimmick. Since Megas require a specific item for each mon, GF will phase out Megas as they clearly won't put every single one in every single generation. And as those fade out, the new gimmick will phase in and a new marketing cycle will begin.
