So the legends are true, /vp/ is full of retards

Meloetta-P is the 2nd fastest fighting type in the game. it has access to most tools it would need to make use of those Speed and Attack stats. its defenses are only SLIGHTLY under conkeldurrs, and look how that manages to sponge hits and smash back. Don't forget about Serene Grace, Knock Off and Close Combat.

Sadly, the existence of stiff competition in the form of M-Lopunny means Meloetta-P would probably drag it down some. What a shame this wasn't in effect in its debut generation.

I doubt it, AV Conkeldurr can still 2HKO you with Drain Punch or Knock Off despite the weakness and Mega Heracross just has to breathe in your general direction to OHKO you.

You're also forgetting other high-powered 'mons that can probably do the same.

It also has Scrappy, Baton Pass with some boosting moves, and a rather fleshed out support movepool.

I guess it would come down to whether its worth taking the Mega Slot or not.

How would this thing work out if it were a permanent form?

-doesn't take mega slot
-can hold another item (life orb/choice scarf)
-close combat > high jump kick
-better offensive movepool including knock off and stone edge

the only thing it doesn't have is healing wish, which is great because you can more or less revive something. also scrappy makes hjk spammable

Meloeta-p has 92% the physical bulk as conkeldurr and 110% of the special bulk.
I for one welcome the removal of conkeldurr.
