I don't even know but it was a bad event regardless. Gen III and Gen IV had the good ones where you were sent to capture them on mysterious islands. Now it's just lazy handouts at your local pokemon center.

No, it's basically just there to give you a bit of backstory on the Pokemon. Ever since gen 4 they've been cutting back on the elaborate Legendary events.

Basically they just explained that Diancie is a Carbink mutation and they wanted it for study or some shit then the other guy comes and tells them that he doesn't want Diancie if they have to take it from you

You can always watch a movie or something while resetting, that is what i did and got a Naive Diancie with 3IV and 28-29 in the others

Maybe it's foreshadowing for something if we transfer it to ORAS? I know the whole thing with the event was "transfer it for the mega" and all that, so maybe there's a bit more coming with the new games
