ITT: People discuss the competitive viability of Quick Claw.

I personally find that Quick Claw is a useless item for any competitive Pokémon to hold. I think that a Pokémon would be better off holding an item that immediately benefits it in battle rather than rely on a risky dice-roll.
The way I see it, competitive play should be skill-based and luck-based items like Quick Claw can change the outcome of a battle without relying on any skill. I personally believe that only newbies use Quick Claw, however, if anyone thinks otherwise I'd love to hear your opinions why. Discuss.
