>>21568936I don't watch the anime but I think it's like Yugioh. Both are animated advertisments and feature male protagonists, as typical of shonen. Shonen is for young kids/teens mostly and both shows get them into the games/cards. It's mostly about just watching monsters fight eachother in awesome fashion.
What seperates Pokemon from Yugioh is that Ash has been tge central character for all of the main series while Yugioh has expies of Yugi (Jaden, Yusei, Yuma, Yuya.)
