i would like to see a mega noctowl, and there's still hope since Pidgeot, Beedrill and Glalie showed us that every mon can eventually get a mega, but i'm not sure how they could do to make it good
It already has great Sp.Def so increasing the Defense, Sp.Def and Sp.Atk would make it a great defogger, i have no idea what ability they could possibly give to him
