Same shit happened in the years before HGSS was announced, tons of people said there would never be remakes. After they remade FRLG it was pretty obvious that more remakes were coming.

also there will never be a Gen 4 remake, its already on a DS cartridge, Gen 1 will get a remake sooner.

For the most part, yes. In the case of something like M-Flygon, where neither side knows shit, the side that "wins" will act insufferable.

But in the case of something like Talonflame, or other competitive type things where we actually have the info, I'll give it to them. People act way too cocksure about shit that they know very little about.

I didnt personally pay much attention, because, I mean let's face it, /vp/ fucking sucks at theorymon, but as I recall the common argument was that Flying wasn't that useful of an offensive type, and that it's Atk stat was way too low to take advantage of.

I might be wrong, but that's just from memory. It's pretty dumb either way, though.

Trust me. I was a Talonflame supporter since summer 2013 (fire arrow peregrine falcon? sign me the fuck up) and there was a lot of naysaying. "LOL 81 base Attack" and "4x SR weak" were the "NEVER EVER" of last October. There were lots of people predicting that it would "have a niche in OU at best, probably decent in UU". We underestimated just how reliable it would be as a revenge killer and late game cleaner.

I still love me some Talonflame.
