I do because our local game shop makes up bullshit about how they need a minimum number of pre-orders to do a midnight launch. I can't even remember the last time a game sold out though, and the pre-order bonuses kinda suck.

There's almost no reason to preorder the game if you're in the US. Wish we had something worth preordering for like Japan or Europe.

See. Im struggling with the idea. I think at target you get a 5 dollar gift card. But you can pick it up at midnight at walmart. Im unsure if Id prefer to have it in the first few hours or the cool ten bucks

Unless you're buying both versions, Gamestop is probably the best with the poster. If you're interested in getting some money back, Target has the $5 card. If you are getting both versions though, TRU has the best deal.

I got a friend who's buying both versions + Smash U + almost all the amiibos. She's into spending tons of money on shit but I don't think its necessary, even if the plush is $22.

Should I go physical or digital? I want to go physical for tradition but with the gray carts I don't know.

Being able to back-up data is digital only, right? (I'm super nervous about losing data. Have been ever since my Gold died years ago.)

I preorder to ensure I get a copy. I've had instances at multiple stores where they fuck up orders.

Only really for games i know won't drop like Nintendo games, though.

When X/Y launched last year my local GS apparently didn't have enough pre orders to justify having a midnight release. SO they decided to have 1 employee for a line around the building the next morning.
