Well, they had that one Wigglytuff episode where they explained that one Wigglytuff BTFO of a bunch of Flygons then another one walked through a Salamence's Dragon Breath and they kind of explained it.

As for when Sylveon appeared, he took a guess before Pokedexing it that it was somehow related to Eevee.

That's the way it should be.

There's no justification that makes sense. They have creative prerogative to introduce this without making a dumb, contrived effort to explain it when they can just say "by the way it's a fairy type" the way somebody would realistically in that fictive universe would

Haven't been shown. The only time a Fairy has been attacked by a Dragon move was Wigglytuff getting hit by what appears to be Dragonbreath. It looked like this >>21591755
