Why do people even want that inferior move as a Rock STAB? When it's signature lets it get past special walls?

It's less about wanting Power Gem than the fact that it doesn't make sense it can't learn it. I mean, it's literally made of diamonds and hardly any specially inclined Rock types can learn it

Probably cause Diamond Storm looks like beefed up version of Power Gem. The diamonds thrown at you don't even look like physical objects. Were also lacking rock moves on the special department

Aerodactyl doesn't even have the same defensive stats. I don't understand what made you choose that. Also, an uninvested physical move does not let it get past special walls. That's retarded.

Sorry I derped. Couldn't think of a Rock-weak mon to calc on. Heres a better example this time:

It appears a barely uninvested D-storm slightly outdamages fully invested Power Gem without a benefical nature(and running that wouldn't be smart either if your using the mega). And how exactly? 100 BP STAB coming out of 160 Attack dents allot of the revalent special walls with little investment.

A uninvested 150 base power move coming off of 160 base attack is going to hurt special walls. You would have a point, if the uninvested attack ws coming off of 60 base attack.
