Just imagine a Kanto game, but ambiented 20 years after the RBG games. It would be interesting to see:
- Professor Blue Oak
- Visit Johto from Kanto (making the same as Pokemon GSC but backwards)
- Pokemon up to 6th generation playable from the beginning.
- Two different plotlines and starting points depending if you chose Boy or Girl.
- Less linear gameplay (no road blocks, and ability to beat gyms in whatever order you want)
- Redesign Pokemon teams from each leader to include newer Pokemon, for example it would be fun seeing Brock with an Aggron or Erika with a Florges.
- Sidequests! Sidequests that give access to have access to Pokemon with hidden abilities, rare items or Pokemon that don't appear on grass.
Let's be honest, revisiting older games is to appeal older players, they don't have the excuse that the game would be way too complicated.
