He even joins Team Rocket, and is immediately made into the no name grunt who you encounter on the Nugget Bridge. He's barely even won a match worthy of note and everywhere he goes he ends up destroying shit because of how badly he handles things.
George isn't edgy, she's a spastic moron. The Eevee was put into the microwave because she was so out of touch with the world, she thought the Eevee was Bill in another transporter experiment and the microwave was the transporter Bill had in his house in Gen I. (They were in Bill's house after all, but it's very clear she's completely misreading the situation).
Mokepon isn't some "too edgy for you" Pokemon comic. It's a joke. The joke is someone looking back at Gen I stuff and going "well now isn't this all a little silly?" in a way that's not the standard and lazy parody that it usually is. Atticus is the snide, cynical protag who looks down on all of it, but he's no thought of as mature for it by the story or anyone in it. He's just a downer loser in a world of silly people.
I swear. Go read "Apocalypse Johto" or that one comic were the scarred up trainer fucks her Feraligatr or something if you want to see what "edgy" is in Pokemon.
