Congrats, you've just traded your Mega with a non-mega, 1 for 1. You're also now too weak and too slow to switch out and come in on anything because of no Regenerator, and you're going to take yet ANOTHER round of hazards damage coming in again, making yourself even weaker. Also:

Let's be real, nobody is going to run max SpD CM Bro since it's worse in every way. That can OHKO after rocks come up, and literally anything can revenge you, and you're dead if you switch out and back into rocks again.
You can say "just switch out of thundurus!" but thundurus is not something you want to have to switch into 4+ times a game, you're putting your opponent at an advantage that way.
Replace "Thundurus" with any strong special attacker not weak to water and the logic still holds strong.
