>>21610752Back in Gen V there was a doubles strategy called Divecats. The idea was to lead Liepard and Purrloin holding a Lagging Tail and a Full Incense, respectively, with their only move being Assist. In the back, you have two Pokemon with their only Assist-callable moves being a two turn attacking move where you leave the stage for the first turn. Dive was most used since only Surf could hit a Diving Pokemon, but you could also use Fly, Dig, or Shadow Force Smeargle.
The basic idea was, because of Prankster, the cats would use Assist with priority and go into the first turn of Dive. Then, due to their Lagging Tail and Full Incense, they would then go last on the next turn, making them theoretically invincible as long as they were out. Of course, Fake Out greatly disrupted this strategy, and you could also beat them by timer stalling with Sand up, but it was effective enough that GF made sure that moves like Dive could no longer be called by Assist in Gen VI.
