I want to make a simple Pokemon fangame, but I won't be able to accomplish it via ROM hacking. What's the best Pokemon engine? There a quite a few of them, but Pokemon Essentials seems to be the only complete one. I'd rather not use Pokemon Essentials because it's in RPG Maker, so is there an alternative?
