Should it? No, probably not. It wouldn't enhance anything, so logically it shouldn't be a thing.

Would it be neat? I guess so. I think it would be cool to have certain selective bits voiced, like when you challenge a gym leader/rival/the champion.

Should it fuck, Pokemon is the reason I had a reading age of 12 when I was 4 and a reading age of 20 when I was 12. People need some sort of motivation to read, otherwise you end up with a bunch of illiterate fucks.

No, plenty of RPGs have fine voice acting.

Never in a million years would I trust nintendo/gamefreak/pokemon to have competent voice acting though.

Voice acting ruin most RPGs. I rather them spend the money on actual content and not something as cosmetic as voice acting.

Nintendo got voice acting right with Kid Icarus. I know that's a different localisation team than Pokemon, but it's good precedent.

That said, nah, I don't think Pokemon needs it. Maybe if we ever get another Orre game, but not the main series.
