The program will air from 7pm to 8:54pm for a total of 1 hour 54 minutes. The movie itself lasts 1 hour 30 minutes and there'll be about 10 minutes worth of ad breaks, so the anime short itself will be about 5 minutes long at the absolute max.

I think it's more or less the animators realized 10 year old's aren't supposed to have fully developed melons and slowly decreased the size over time to make it less noticeable that they were doing so. I don't think there's really much to talk about though, it's a standard Pokemon movie IMO. One of the better ones, but nothing special.
Although one thing that stayed in my mind as I left the theater was how Yveltal just flied off at the end...and nobody's concerned about that? Makes me think they're going to do a Sinnoh thing where the next movie will loosely be a sequel, or at least clearly have continuity.
