Ground has a type immune to it, but also has an ability that grants immunity to it AND an item that grants immunity to it. And it's not like it's hard to get nearly perfect coverage with either ground or fighting anyway.
What I'm trying to say is that ground is retardedly good and instead of balancing it properly Gamefreak just shoved additional immunities independent of the type chart into the game.
