Z also seems more likely as a Version "Theme" than Grey was. It's much more obvious in the Zygarde design and name than grey was in Kyurem (which was, admittedly, mostly grey).
BW2 also came out of how different Black and White were, or were at least billed as being. Again, a potential "Grey" wouldn't have had to work too hard to make a third version that reconciled the two. But still.
I feel releasing two more versions in in Gen VI that are essentially just another two slightly different versions from each other, is unlikely. BW2 probably also got a double version release because of the lack of remakes for that Gen, so the teams focused entirely on XY and BW2 after BW, rather than both a remake, third version, and then the next gen.
